Am 28.Januar habe ich mich auf einen Kurztrip nach Tacoma begeben und dort das Glass Museum und das Washington State History Museum angeschaut. Es war sehr interessant, etwas über die Geschichte, die Landschaft und die Kultur des Bundestaates in dem ich hier lebe, zu lernen 🙂 Ein kurzer Besuch bei Ramona war auch noch drin =) Hab mich riesig gefreut sie nach einigen Monaten endlich mal wiederzusehen 🙂 Natürlich bin ich auch zur Tacoma Narrows Bridge gefahren, deren Original am 1. Juli 1940 eröffnet wurde und den Nicknamen „Galloping Gertie“ aufgrund der durch Wind verursachten Schwingungen bekam. Am 7.November 1940 collabierte die Brücke bei der Windstärke 8 in den Pudget Sound, die neue Brücke wurde am 14. Oktober 1950 eröffnet und steht noch heute.

Da ich Couchsurfing in Tacoma gemacht habe, bin ich am Samstag Abend mit meinem Couchsurfing-Host Elizabeth zu meinem ersten Bluegrass Concert gegangen. Die Musik hat mich ein wenig an Irischen Folk erinnert, war aber echt gut 😉 Mal etwas ganz anderes zu dem was ich sonst normalerweise höre 🙂
